This is an intensive process. I encourage writers to only invest in developmental edits if they are open to making significant changes to their draft. These edits do not include proofreading, which would be premature.
Rate: $0.021 per word, however this is negotiable per project.
Manuscript Evaluation
I offer manuscript evaluations for full and partial manuscripts.
This option combines all the feedback of my developmental editing service but condenses it into a 5-10 page document that summarizes my main findings. The difference between an evaluation and my developmental edit is that I will omit the comprehensive line editing and proofreading on the manuscript itself and instead cite specific examples from your work to help you craft your character development, pacing of the overall story, plot structure, and other major aspects of the story.
Rate: $0.014 per word, however this is negotiable per project.
Proofreading
I’m a huge grammar nerd! If your project is need of someone to clear up your grammatical mistakes and have an eagle eye on your project, then I’m your person.
I specialize in proofreading manuscripts for novels, screen plays, and blog posts. However, no project is too small and I’m happy to provide these services for marketing programs, educational materials, or even emails!
Rate: $0.009 per word, however this is negotiable per project.
